Urs J. Knobel was born in Zug, Switzerland. He graduated from the Lucerne University of Arts where he had studied graphic arts. Study stay in London. He then worked as a Graphic Designer at Advico Young & Rubicam, and went on to become Art Director at Doyle Dane Bernbach in Zurich. Today he works as an Illustrator, Art Director, Graphic Designer and Painter. He designed the poster for the White Turf St. Moritz racing event and the badges for the carnival of Baar. The Sustainability Coach helps sports clubs and federations on their path to a more sustainable way of conducting business. By following a triple impact approach these organizations should be better equipped to face the challenges of the future. A more focused approach on sustainability matters can help these organizations thrive in the long run, in terms of their sports performance but also socially, ecologically and financially. As part of our work, we offer workshops that help organizations take the first steps towards a more sustainable future. We analyze with them their current state in terms of sustainability, we support them in identifying their most important stakeholders and help them to identify material topics. We are active across all sports disciplines and work with clubs as well as associations or in projects that touch on sustainability issues in sports. We either support sustainability project manager or act as project managers ourselves. In order to create even more awareness for the topic, we regularly give guest lectures at universities and universities of applied science or hold webinars.
